Agronomist, having worked on the analysis of technical decisions in farm management (the subject of her thesis), she has focused for about ten years on the study of the forms and functions of urban agriculture, close to or within cities, and contributing to the provision of products and services to these cities. Her research, conducted in countries of the Global South (Madagascar, Senegal) and in France (mainly Île-de-France), focuses on the specific technical operations and integration into supply chains of urban and peri-urban farms, notably by characterizing their diversity (typologies). Beyond this, she leads multidisciplinary research projects in these various contexts, including the Franco-Malagasy CORUS ADURAA project (Analysis of the Sustainability of Agriculture in the Antananarivo agglomeration) from 2002 to 2007, the Primequal-Predit PPTA project (Local Pollution, Traffic and Agriculture) on the risks of urban pollution for agriculture in the Île-de-France region near major traffic routes (2008–2010), and is responsible for tasks within the ANR Systerra ISARD project (2009–2012) (Ecological Intensification of Agricultural Production Systems and Waste Recycling) and the Sustainable Cities and Buildings JASSUR project (2013–2016) (Community Urban Gardens: Practices, Functions and Risks in Sustainable Cities). Coordinator of the “Proximity Agriculture” working group within the Proximités team from 2006 to 2012, she founded the Urban Agriculture team in 2012 within the UMR SADAPT.
